I can confidently confirm that the stereotype that London is rainy is REAL. I’ve been here for 3 days (going on 4) and its rained every single one of them. Good thing I brought coats and boots. It is also MUCH colder here than in DC or Atlanta (although, most places are colder than Atlanta in August/Sept, to be fair) but that is just fine with me as an avid turtleneck and sweater-wearer.

So far I have been settling in and exploring the area! It’s a fabulous part of town – Bloomsbury- with many local pubs, coffee shops and restaurants. The happy hour scene is quite lively, making this DC girl feel right at home. The Plough is the closest local spot, but the Crown and the Old Crown are also two of my early favorite spots to grab a pint!
